The annual European Society of International Law conference was from 8 to 11 September 2021. Convened in a hybrid format in Stockholm, the conference focused on new developments in international law-making.

Drawing on his research in several African countries, Dr. Labuda presented on the hybridisation and decentralisation of international criminal law, with a focus on immunities. In addition, Dr. Labuda chaired a workshop panel of the Society’s Interest Group on Peace and Security, of which he is a convener.
